PEMF
PEMF is the acronym for Pulsed Electromagnetic Fields. It is a therapy that uses electromagnetic fields to improve health and promote healing in various medical conditions. These Pulsed Electromagnetic Fields are applied non-invasively and have benefits in cell regeneration, pain reduction, and improving overall body function.
ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD
It is a movement of positive and negative charges that intersect in a space. This movement of charges is given because the positive charges try to reach the negative ones and vice versa. Then, the charges intersect and that group of + and - charges is an electromagnetic field. An electromagnetic field has no polarity.
PULSED
It is when something happens in separate or individual cycles, it is not continuous and constant. For example, the heartbeat. In PEMF therapy, an electromagnetic field is delivered in cycles, called pulses, to stimulate specific biological responses.
INTENSITY
The intensity of the electromagnetic field or magnetic field intensity is measured in Tesla (symbol T) or in Gauss (symbol G) where 10,000 G is equal to 1T.
PEMF therapy can only be effective if the field intensity of the pulsed electromagnetic signal is powerful enough to penetrate deep enough into the body, reach the cells, and cause the desired effect.
FREQUENCY
It is the time between the peak of one wave and the peak of the next wave, that is, it is the repetition of the pulse and is expressed in Hertz (Hz). Cells in the body respond to different frequencies ranging from 0 to 100 Hz. If a device has 200 Hz, it means it delivers 200 pulses per second.
STATIC
Something that is without movement, that is, remains unchanged in space. An example of this is the electromagnetic field generated by magnets, unlike PEMF which flows into the cell.
HEALTH
A body free of diseases.
DISEASE
Poor function of a cell, organ, or system.
